What is this research study about?
Your feelings on Ignite, a STEM education program.
We invite you to participate in this study that aims to measure the impact of the Ignite program. The goal of Ignite is to empower students with science and engineering knowledge and a value-based design thinking framework to build products that address specific needs. We ask you to participate in a brief surveys and interviews where you will share your opinion on the virtual curricula. This will be completed as part of your science or math education routine.
Can something bad happen to me?
Not likely.
The associated risks are minimal. If there is a question that is too hard to answer or that you do not like, you can choose to not respond to it. If you feel uncomfortable and you do not want to continue participating, you can let us know and leave the activity.
Can something good happen to me?
There are no personal benefits for your participation, but there are benefits for other students. We chose you because you participated in the Ignite program, and your experience will help us improve the program in order to help more children in different countries learn about science and engineering.
Is anyone going to know that I participated in this study?
Your participation will be kept secret and only the researchers of the study will be able to see your answers. Your teachers and your parents will not be able to view your responses. We will protect your information with a code so that the researchers do not know your name when viewing your answers.

What happens if I do not want to participate in this study?
Your participation is voluntary, so you can end your participation in the study at any moment. You will not get in trouble and your class grade will not be affected.
